Facility Use

Community Use of Beaverton Schools District Facilities

Beaverton School District (BSD) allows individuals and community members to apply for facility use when space is available. However, requests must not interfere with instructional programs, student athletics, or school-related activities.

How to Apply

All facility reservations must be made through our online reservation system. Click the Community User button below and follow the instructions in the upper right-hand corner to create an account and submit a request.

Important Considerations

  • Facility use is subject to staff availability to support the rental.
  • BSD is not an event center; only limited elementary and middle school gyms, cafeterias, and fields are available for rental.
  • Spaces are rented as is; school equipment such as microphones, projectors, podiums, special lighting, extra chairs, and tables are not provided.
  • Food may only be served and consumed in the cafeteria.
  • All approved rentals require BSD personnel on site (e.g., building monitor or custodian).
  • Rental fees and staffing costs will be invoiced after the event.
  • Events will not be approved during school closures, holidays, or long weekends.
  • Event end times:
    • Weekdays: Elementary schools – 8:30 p.m. | Middle schools – 9:00 p.m.
    • Weekends: All events must end by 6:00 p.m.
    • All participants must exit the building by these times.
  • Requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance for consideration.
  • Insurance is required for approval. For details, visit the Risk Management Insurance Requirements page.
  • Unavailable spaces & items:
    • High school auditoriums are reserved for school-sponsored events.
    • Bouncy houses and water slides are not permitted.
    • District facilities are not available June 1 – September 30 due to school-related activities.

After-School Enrichment Programs

  • Program dates: October 1 – May 31
  • Fall term reservations open July 1
  • All events must conclude by 4:00 p.m.
  • Reservation terms:
    • Fall: October – December
    • Winter: January – March
    • Spring: April – May

Facility Closures & Outdoor Use

  • If BSD closes due to inclement weather, all facility use is canceled.
  • Families may use elementary and middle school playgrounds, fields, tracks, and paths after in-person instruction at their own risk.
  • High school turf fields and gates remain locked when school is not in session or when district staff are not present.
